Day 14 – Hold the line

I’m a little tired, a little stressed and dealing with a bit of writer’s block. I’ve got a post I’m working on that isn’t quite ready yet, and nothing is grabbing my eye right now.

So instead, I want to link you to something. Click here.

I’ll wait.

Awesome stuff, right? I love Adam4D and have supported him, because, again, I love the dude. He’s brilliant, funny and his point here is important. Every single time we, as Christians, openly support our Lord and obey Him, we are defying the World and calling it wrong.

My favorite hymn is “In Christ Alone,” (I promise you, that will come up again) and one significant reason why is the militancy of it. That phrase — in Christ alone  — doesn’t allow for half-measures or uneasy support. It’s not in Christ and myself or in Christ and Buddha or  in Christ and the World  — no, it’s simply what it is.

In Christ alone.

When we believe in Jesus Christ and as such begin to worship obey Him – the Son of God, the Son of Man, the Messiah, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, our beautiful Savior — we are revolting against the World that so hates and reviles God and His children.

I stand with Adam4D. Keep resisting. Follow in the tradition of excellent, Godly people in our faith — from the Apostles, to Augustine, to Luther and on — and stand firm.

Hold the line. We win in the end.
