How does one learn to go fast? How does one learn to maintain that newly achieved speed?
I am starting to learn that I am capable of more than I had thought — I can learn more, do more, handle more. That feeling is initially overwhelming — “I can’t do this!” — but as you spend more time in the pot, you get used to the warmth. You start to realize what you can handle.
You sense your resistance growing and your limits expanding with each day. That’s a great feeling — but it’s also daunting. If the idea is to build muscle, you need to do two things: do the work and rest. Both parts are vital.
The same seems to be true of learning — do the work and rest. My sleep schedule has been crazy recently, which hasn’t helped at all. Unfortunately, sometimes that will be the case.
I’m trying to learn how to maintain a brisker pace. I hope that doesn’t sacrifice the blog — and I intend on still posting daily — but occasionally that might mean shorter posts. Please bear with me.
