Remember how I told you a wise man once said, “soreness is a reminder of that badass thing you did yesterday?” Well, he was right. I sit here with sore quads, shoulders and upper back, and what a beautiful reminder it is.
This isn’t pain, let me clear. It’s discomfort. I’ve lifted just barely enough to tell the difference, and in fact one cool development for me with squats is a lack of pain. Knees don’t hurt, quads don’t hurt, ankles don’t hurt. That’s neat. (Signposts!)
The next intellectual development is learning when to push through soreness and lift on. I’ll get there. Even still, growth is growth.
I’m finally getting a little bit stronger, you guys.
